- Mr. Hartness is the co-founder, CEO, Managing Director and the Real Estate Broker of 1031 Exchange Strategies, Inc. Since 1981, David has been involved in the development, asset management, acquisition and sale of commercial real estate throughout the U.S. including Hawaii, California, Washington, Oregon, and Utah.
- David's expertise in the TIC arena is providing due diligence for investment real estate properties the firm represents and coordinating client services to support strategic planning and the acquisition of investment real estate.
- David holds a BBA in Hotel & Restaurant Management, an MBA specializing in finance, is licensed as a California & Hawaii Real Estate Broker and holds FINRA Series 66 and 7 designations.

Timothy F. Leahy, General Securities Principal, President, CFO &
Co-Founder Managing Director — Compliance & Operations
- Mr. Leahy is the co-founder, President/CFO & Managing Director of 1031 Exchange Strategies, Inc. Since 1991, Tim has been a financial planner and portfolio manager for high net worth clients in Arizona, Nevada and California.
- Tim's expertise in the TIC arena is combining overall financial planning with investment real estate and TIC strategies. He has assisted numerous clients with the disposition, sale, and/or exchange of their investment real estate including many TIC placements.
- Tim holds FINRA 7, 63 and 24 designations and is the General Securities Principal of the OMNI San Diego Branch Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction. He is also the President of Collaborative Wealth Strategies Group, Inc., a high net worth financial and estate planning and asset management firm.

Dr. Mark A. Luban — Investment Real Estate
Acquisitions
- Dr. Luban has been a real estate investor and developer for over 25 years during which time he owned and operated a dental practice, with multiple locations and 10-15 employees per office.
- Mark has successfully completed numerous real estate investment projects throughout the U.S. including California, Hawaii, Montana, and Connecticut and has personally invested in several Securitized Tenant-in-Common offerings through 1031ES.
- Mark is a licensed Real Estate Broker, and also holds FINRA Series 63 and 22 designations.

Nicole Westlund — Investor Relations
- Ms. Westlund manages Investor Relations for 1031ES. Nicole provides continuous support for clients and serves as a liaison between the various organizations involved with our firm.
- Nicole maintains and improves communications with both clients and sponsors as well as managing administrative activities for the firm.
- Nicole holds a B. A. in English and Communication Studies from the University of San Diego. She has previously worked as a Research Coordinator for ESPN’s X Games and as an Assistant in the University of San Diego’s Graduate Admissions Department. Nicole has passed the FINRA Series 7 exam and is also licensed as a Notary Public in California.

Shizuko B. Hartness — Event Coordinator
- Ms. Hartness is responsible for coordinating the educational workshops, seminars and client appreciation events 1031ES holds for its clients and prospective clients.
- Shizuko maintains and oversees the company's mailing lists and contact database and monitors all aspects of pre, post and follow-up activites as well as being on-site for all events.
- Shizuko brings over 25 years of administrative and event management experience to her position. She was the wedding coordinator for one of Hawaii's premier visitor and historical venues for 12 years and later served as an excutive adminsitrative assistant for a San Diego based international real estate development firm.
